Powerdown Rubry Owen Equal Bush
Powerdown rubber shock absorber bushes provide the correct self-aligning mounting for heavy-duty shock absorbers across EB1, EB2 and EB3 eye ring types. The bush is a critical component in the shock absorber mounting system - it provides the correct clamping interface between the eye ring and the mounting pin, absorbs the angular misalignment inherent in suspension movement, and prevents metal-to-metal contact that rapidly destroys mounting hardware.
Worn or collapsed rubber bushes cause shock absorber knocking, allow the shock to move incorrectly in its mount, and generate uneven loading on the piston rod that significantly shortens shock absorber life. Replace bushes at every shock service to protect the investment in new shock absorbers.
- Self-aligning design accommodates the angular misalignment inherent in heavy vehicle suspension movement
- Full (1-piece) and half (1/2-piece) configurations for EB1, EB2 and EB3 tapered eye ring types
- Correct bush clamping prevents metal-to-metal contact that destroys mounting hardware
- Rubber compound selected for correct stiffness - absorbs shock without transmitting vibration
- Replace at every shock absorber service to maximise service life of new shocks
Signs of worn shock absorber bushes: Clunking or knocking sound from the suspension over bumps, visible cracking or extrusion of the bush material from the eye ring, the shock absorber moving or rocking in its mount, or uneven wear on the shock piston rod. Always replace bushes when fitting new shock absorbers.
