Powerdown LTS shock absorbers for the Ford Transit are engineered for the Transit's demanding role as Australia's most popular commercial van. Transit operators carry everything from tools and equipment to refrigerated goods, constantly loading to capacity on routes that combine highway speeds with rough service-road and depot conditions. Worn shock absorbers on a Transit cause tyre cupping, increased braking distances and progressive steering wander - all of which increase accident risk and running costs.
Based on a 35mm bore design with heavy-duty features, the LTS uses a large body where space permits and a slimline design where clearance is limited - ensuring correct fitment across the full range of LCV applications.

Signs your LTS shock absorbers need replacing: Increased body sway when cornering or changing lanes under load, nose dive under braking, tyre cupping or uneven wear across the tread, oil leaking from the shock body, or bottoming out on road bumps under normal payload. LTS shocks should be inspected every 80,000km or annually on high-mileage fleet vehicles.
