Powerdown Shock Absorber for Hendrickson Intraax and Watson & Chalin Suspension
Powerdown P161 and P162 shock absorbers are engineered for the Hendrickson AA, Intraax and HT trailer air suspension systems - some of the most common air suspension platforms on Australian semi-trailers. These Hendrickson systems rely on their shock absorbers to control air spring movement and maintain load distribution across multiple trailer axles. Correct shock condition is essential for tyre life, trailer tracking and reversing stability.
- Calibrated for Hendrickson AA, Intraax and HT air suspension geometry
- Also suits Neway, Reyco and Watson & Chalin suspension applications
- Controls air spring travel - prevents premature air spring failure from excessive movement
- Large bore with high-capacity fluid for sustained highway speed under maximum payload
- 360-degree arc-welded mounts for trailer suspension cycle loads
Replacement indicators: Air spring bottoming out, trailer sway at highway speed, oil on shock body, uneven tyre wear across trailer axles, or air springs failing prematurely. Trailer shocks should be inspected every 200,000km.
