Powerdown Shock Absorber for Mack Anthem and Volvo FH/FM [Rear]
Powerdown designed the P076 (front) and P809 (rear) specifically for the Mack Anthem Day Cab with its parabolic leaf spring front suspension and air suspension rear. Released for the 2021-on Anthem, these are the first purpose-engineered Australian aftermarket shocks for this platform - giving Anthem operators a quality alternative to OEM parts at competitive cost.
The Mack Anthem is now one of the most common prime movers in Australian B-double and road train operations. Correct shock absorber condition on the Anthem's air suspension rear directly affects load distribution, air spring life and driver comfort on long-distance runs.
- Specifically engineered for the 2021-on Mack Anthem Day Cab suspension geometry
- P076 front: calibrated for Anthem's parabolic leaf spring front suspension
- P809 rear: designed for Anthem's rear air suspension - maintains correct air spring travel
- Large bore Supershock platform for Australian heavy-haul operating conditions
- Viton seals and semi-synthetic fluid for sustained outback highway operation
- 360-degree arc-welded end mounts for maximum durability under B-double load cycles
Replacement indicators: Oil on the shock body, excessive cab bounce, air spring bottoming out, rear end sway under load, or driver reporting increased fatigue on long runs. Anthem shocks should be inspected every 200,000km.
