West Coast Suspension is authorized under Federal approval number “VTA-066016” to supply and fit a GVM suspension upgrade for the Toyota AN2 Hilux Workmate & SR (4WD variants only) to 3570kg GVM. This enables the operator to legally carry up to 505kg over the factory stipulated GVM.
Please note: To obtain the 3570kg upgrade, the tyre load rating must be no less than “110” with a speed rating not less than “S”.
This kit has been tested by the Auto Innovation Centre (AIC) and fully certified under RVSA (Road Vehicle Standards Act 2018) by the federal Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts under the ROVER system.
This kit can be fitted to licenced vehicles under the state-based type approval (TA) system. Once this kit has been fitted to your Hilux, it actually changes the vehicle category from NA to NB1. This requires fitting of category 6 side indicators supplied with the kit.
Each GVM suspension upgrade is issued with a vehicle compliance plate, fitted next to the OEM compliance plate, stating vehicle particulars and approval number.
For licenced vehicles, the GVM certification process varies depending on state or territory. The vehicle may need to be inspected by an authorised Automotive Engineer to comply with that state or territory’s GVM compliance requirements.
Variants of the Toyota Hilux covered by this upgrade are: Workmate & SR including 48V variants (2WD variants are currently excluded).
This kit also requires Category 6 side indicators to be fitted to the vehicle before it is presented for licensing.
WCS GVM upgrades only increase the Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM). They do NOT increase the Gross Combined Mass (GCM) or Braked Towing Capacity (BTC).
